Garage Equipment Pavilion

Garage Equipment Pavilion at 14th Auto Expo 2018 - Components

There has been a huge growth in vehicle population coupled with higher customer awareness about vehicle upkeep, periodic maintenance and demand for add-on services (e.g. 24/7 breakdown assistance, extended warranty covers, etc.)

Owing to above, both organized players (automotive OEMs and non-vehicle manufacturers) and unorganized players (independent part dealers and small garages) have made great strides in the aftermarket sector over the last few years. The backdrop of economic slowdown in FY 12, coupled with a dip in volume growth of automotive OEMs, has further resulted in renewed focus towards growth in the aftermarket sector as a business imperative to maintain growth and profitability for automotive OEMs.

Most Indians who prefer OES (auto dealerships) for major repairs and collision work, are now looking at garages, workshops and service chains for upkeep of their vehicles, car washes, and other repairs including the minor repairs such as tires and oil/filter changes.

The focused Garage equipment pavilion is a special initiative to cater to these needs, address the challenges and requirements of the customer while providing a window for the OEM’s to provide their products to the end customers in a more effective and reliable manner.

As per the research by Frost and Sullivan, Independent garages and service chains capture about 60 percent of retail maintenance and repair revenue, with automobile dealerships in the original equipment suppliers (OES) channel holding about 40 percent market share. Indeed, as per the industry sources there were about 300,000 unorganised garages, compared to 950 multi-brand organised garages in 2011, in the country.

Infact, regulations related to the Indian auto aftermarket are also being made stringent to encourage fair competition in the aftermarket value chain and strengthen the customer’s position.

The focused Garage Equipment pavilion shall have display ( of Two Post Lift; Four Post Lift; Scissor Lift; Washing Hoist; Wheel Aligners; Wheel Balancers; Tyre Changers; Tyre Inflators; Vehicle Test Lane; Paint Booth; Crash Repair System; Spot Welders; Mig Welders; Plasma Cutter; Panel Repair System; Infrared Dryer, Car washing stations; Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners; Steam Washers; Floor Cleaners; Automatic Car Washing Plant) from some of the major brands in this section along with demonstration.
